Maurkice Pouncey , the 18th overall selection in the NFL Draft, has been one of many athletes under NCAA scrutiny recently. The NCAA reportedly was investigating whether or not Pouncey received $100,000 from an unnamed agent between the SEC Championship and the Sugar Bowl.
Today, Pouncey released the following statement through his attorney:
"I did not accept $100,000, it is an absolutely ridiculous claim. I have completely cooperated with the investigation and answered any and all questions put to me."
Those are strong words from the current Steeler, and, if they're true, pretty reassuring for Florida fans.
