Not every single one is guilty of course, but how often does their case even make it to court to be judged?  I mean you read at least once per week where another athlete or celebrity gets picked up for DUI or assault or gun charges or some other infraction, but within a few weeks they got off with community service, a fine, and a public apology.  It's just not right.  A guy like me gets picked up for DUI and I'm looking at all of those things plus mandatory drug & alcohol classes, AA meetings and visits with a probation officer once per week for a year for a first offense.  A regular person like you and I will always have our day in court, always receive our judgement, and when proven guilty have the book thrown at us.  These guys have high profile lawyers and a PR team to clean up their mess.  I just wish they were held more accountable for their actions.

I can see that you are backpedaling from your brady comments b/c you realize that you do not have a leg to stand on and you realize that other members of your beloved steelers have done far far worse.  I do see however that you are trying to once again "shift" the focus from your boys conduct (who you claim you are not defending but really are) to the big bad commisioner and the "morality police" as you like to refer to them.

let me make this easy for you.  NOBODY made a 'morality' judgement about ben or what he did.  NOBODY.  Here is why he was suspended and before you clank away mindlessly at your computer remember these are not my words but a direct quote from an artcile on the subject on this website.

So if you can stop being so defensive you would see that this is NOT about morality and having kids out of wedlock or not being a good father as you claim.  it is business.  strictly business.  the nfl is a brand.  ANYONE who does conduct that does damage to that brand (or product) will be subject to the suspension. 

To further illustrate the point let me try this.  You have read EVERYWHERE that the Rooneys are pissed.  Have you asked yoruself why?  Let me tell you.  It is NOT because they are making moral judgements about Ben.  it is because they have invested a lot of money in the Steelers as a PRODUCT and this guys REPEATED actions put that product at risk.  When he runs around on a motorcycle without a helmet he risks the money the Rooneys have invested in him.  When he acts like a child and not an adult he hurts the image of the product that the Rooneys have invested in.  again, NOBODY is making moral judgements.  It is business.  is it starting to sink in yet?

As for you ridiculous hypothetical about if Brady "all of a sudden stopped being a good dad' what would the Pats do?  Well if hitting the mother of your child is "being bad" then what did the ultramoral Rooneys do to harrison?  Nothing.  The patriots recognoze their brand and have cut players who have had problems with the law. 

I really suggest that you take the homer gogles off, stop talking out of both sides of your mouth and read what it really out there instead of being reactionary like so many on these boards.
