You know things are bad when a team warrants a special Monday injury report. The Green Bay Packers, whom many picked to go to the Super Bowl, have been rocked by injuries. Given what has transpired, a voodoo doctor may not be out of the question. Here is the latest:
**Quarterback Aaron Rodgers will miss practice time this week and possibly Sunday’s game against the Dolphins after suffering a concussion against the Redskins.
**Tight end Jermichael Finley will be on the mend for roughly a month after he undergoes arthroscopic knee surgery on Tuesday.
Finley’s backup, Donald Lee, is also out a few weeks with a shoulder injury.
**Outside linebacker Clay Matthews, the leading sacker in the NFL (8), suffered another hamstring injury Sunday. His status is up in the air, though this injury is reportedly less severe than the one Matthews suffered in training camp.
**Defensive end Ryan Pickett, a domineering run-defender, is questionable with a knee injury. (Lucky it wasn’t worse.)
**It was announced that inside linebacker Nick Barnett indeed needs surgery on his wrist, which means his 2010 season is done.
**Safety Derrick Martin suffered what could be a serious knee injury against Washington. The Packers already lost rookie safety Morgan Burnett to an ACL last week.
**There were reports last week that right tackle Mark Tauscher’s shoulder injury could be severe. No updates on Tauscher at this point, though the 11th-year veteran was inactive against the Redskins.
