Pro Football Talk reports that Chargers wide receiver will report to the team next Friday. Jackson is ending his holdout so that he can spend three weeks on the roster exempt list and be on the roster by Week 11. He must be on the roster by Week 11 in order to get credit for the 2010 season.
It will be interesting to see what the Chargers do with Jackson once he arrives. The team is hurting somewhat at wide receiver, but they should have starters Legedu Naanee and Malcom Floyd back by the time Jackson is eligible.
Will the Chargers be willing to play Jackson during the stretch run? (Probably -- they'll need him.) Will Jackson want to play and risk injury? (Probably -- it'd be hard for him to dog it in front of his teammates.) Still, this has the potential to be awkward…
