You won’t believe what Jon Gruden’s son Deuce, a high school junior, said on The Sports Rave podcast.
“He was going to let me finish high school … they were talking about going to San Francisco, but that’ll probably be in the next two years … or maybe Cleveland.”
If we’re to believe this (and we’ll assume Gruden’s son knows what he’s talking about), then Gruden would like to coach the Niners or Browns in 2012 (after Deuce graduates). Gruden is obviously familiar with the Bay Area. And he worked for current Browns president Mike Holmgren as an assistant in Green Bay.
If Gruden wants the Niners job, however, he may have to jump at it now. Many have speculated that Mike Singletary won’t be back after this season. Then again, perhaps Jed York would be willing to toil with Singletary one more year if he knows he can get Chucky in 2012. By waiting a year, York could maybe get his man while avoiding a coaching change during a work stoppage.

Gruden is a Browns fanAlot of people don't realize, and the article neglects to mention that John Gruden grew up in Sandusky and is a huge Cleveland Browns fan. This lends credence to his sons comments. I'd love to have him here.
