Rodgers cleared to play Sunday

Say goodbye to Matt Flynn, starting Packers QB.

Aaron Rodgers says he’ll be back in time for Sunday’s game vs. the Giants, according to ESPNMilwaukee.com.

Rodgers said he’s passed all the requisite post-concussion tests, and for a team that needs to win its final two games to be assured of a postseason berth, that’s wonderful news.

“I’ve been cleared,” Rodgers said. “It’s not that big of a story. Is it?”

Flynn, in Green Bay’s 31-27 loss to New England on Sunday, played well, but his inexperience showed in the final minute of the game where it took more than 20 seconds to snap the ball and the Packers never got a clear shot at the end zone. He'll return to being the No. 2 QB.

"What? over? did you say over?" nothing's over untill we decide it is! was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

Um, Pearl Harbor was bombed by the Japanese, not the Germans.

Typos are acceptable. That lapse in historical knowledge is not.

_As a Packer fan I say that the Jets go into Soldier Field and take down the Bears.  Also, alot of that info is incorrect with your analysis NFCBEAR.  First off.... It's MIAMI not MAIMI ok? Lets just get that straight.  Second, we lost to Chicago W/O GRANT and that was by far our worst game of the year.  We dominated every statistical category, especially penalties (18) and we still should've EASILY won that game.  You guys were dominated by us, but obviously a loss is a loss.

As a Packer fan of COURSE you will say the Jets go into Soldier Field and take down the Bears.

Really you are going to point out that I spelled Miami incorrect...that's all you have on your first point? wow...You are correct on the second...I forgot Grant was out that game, the only stat that matters though is the score buddy, nobody said we dominated that game. Good teams find ways to win and we can't help the sloppy play of your oline because of the fear of Peppers laying them out. Bad teams have a lot of penalties, you were a bad team that day for sure. For so much that was incorrect about my analysis you sure did not have much...LMAO!!!

Chicago is a good team, alot better than earlier in the year when they were losing AT HOME to Washington and SEATTLE.

yes they are, Martz is actually trying to go with strengths and Cutler is making smarter decisions.

The Jets are going to shut this team down, stack 8 in the box and blitz the hell out of Cutler.  Cromartie and Revis will be put on their respective "islands" and should have no problem taking care of a very weak WR corps.
The Bears are flawed, and you will see that Sunday.   Furthermore, they have nothing to play for in reality (Eagles win out no problem) and the Jets are fighting for that #5 seed.  Jets (+1) is a pick that will put money in your pocket.

The Bears and Jets BOTH have something to play for...the Bears for a bye and 2nd seed and if I were you I'd be rooting for Philly to lose and Bears to win this week so you don't have to face us next week with our starters. Well...that is IF it matters to you at that point, you lose this weekend you are done. As far as being flawed if you haven't noticed all teams are flawed. I think you are the furthest to be making comments about "reality".

The Bears and Jets are very similar...both had "easy" schedules and took advantage of injuries of other teams. Both have good D's and incosistent offenses....this game can go either way....I don't think either team dominates.
Does that make you feel better ARodgers-JC?

sk, obviously you dont understand the concussion rules. The medical staff thats gives clearance to play after concussions is a third party medical staff. It isnt the Packers or the NFL's, so it has nothing to do with the NFL wanting better competition.

So much for safety.  I think everyone but packer fans would admit that there is no way he is ready.  If he gets another concussion this weekend, it is all on management.  Of course the NFL wants the playoff race so it will suspend its new found focus on safety for money.  Kind of like expanding the season to 18 games.

e'll see about that pal.  Giants are a good football team, but this isn't the Eagles defense you're going up against this week

And this isn't the explosive Eagles offense with Vick at QB either the Giants are going up against. it works both ways Arodgers.
So please, before you get your homerism even more showing in your post, stop and think what you are saying first.

On top of that, please stop with what happened earlier in the yaer. We all know it makes NO DIFFERENCE NOW. What happened against Tenn( who is a much different team now) and Indy(same with all their injuries) is irrelevant in this game.
Fact is both teams have very good defenses. Both can be dominant. Both can make mistakes.
On offense, the giants have a HUGE Advantage at the running game which is the big difference here between the two teams.
