Texans fans want Kubiak out of their lives

While it seems fairly obvious that when the Texans face the Jaguars Sunday, it’ll be the last time Houston fans see Gary Kubiak coaching their team, some Texans supporters are getting a jump on trying to convince ownership that Kubiak needs to go.

That’s why, as the Houston Chronicle points out, a couple of fans are in the process of organizing a “Fire Gary Kubiak” rally about 45 minutes before Sunday’s game begins.

Yes, the name of the rally offers a fairly negative connotation – though it’s not quite as bad as a “Burn Gary Kubiak at the State” rally – one of the organizers wants to emphasize that this will be a peaceful assembly.

"I want to stress that I don't want people to come out to bash Kubiak," Brad White told the paper. "We don't want vulgar signs out there. We're not there to bash him. We're there to say that we want a change."

Almost certainly, White will get his wish in just a few very short days.

Mavs38: we’d love to give him back to you – heck I would’ve traded him for the guy you fired (we’d make him our O cord & Wade our D cord) – we still need to find a coach. You’d make Kubiak your head coach?

Cco22inf: “unemployed rednecks?” nope – the economy here is doing well. The Texans franchise is a top money maker, too. We just want our money’s worth - & the current product is poor.

Overall – I think they won’t fire him because he is a great O cord that would go to competition. They hope getting a good D cord will work, but I don’t think it will bring leadership we need. Reports are that Bottom-line-Bob won’t fire him because of the lock-out & the lack of time a new coach would have with the players, but IF Fisher leaves Titans – Texans should immediately fire Kubiak to get Fisher. Kubiak would get a job somewhere with all the firings and the Texans (as I understand the contract stuff) wouldn’t be on the hook for much $$$. Bob can afford it anyway & I see Kubiak going to DNV or the Jets as pointed out in other posts.

As a Texans fan (sad to say) I’m rooting for the Jags this last game.

Good offense and bad defense equals bad season no matter who  the coach is.
