Looks like a sweep of the AFC West and the team’s best record since 2002 wasn’t enough to satisfy Raiders owner Al Davis.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Oakland organization has informed coach Tom Cable that it will not pick up his option for 2011.

Which means that Cable, after just his second full season in charge of the team and who led the Raiders to their first non-losing record in eight years and a 6-0 record in the AFC West this season, won’t be back.

Although Davis has given the 49ers permission to interview Raiders offensive coordinator Hue Jackson, it kind of makes sense now that Jackson could be Oakland’s next head coach (especially if San Francisco really wants to hire Jim Harbaugh, which apparently they do).

Report: Cable out as Raiders coach

Ok quick survey. Which owner sucks the most and why?

Mike Brown- whom just retained a coach that went 4-12 after a 10-6 division winning season that saw the payroll increase OR
Al Davis- whom just fire a coach that turned a team around to 8-8 this year after being 5-11 the previous season w/ same lineup and no franchise QB?

Please digress on your answers and feel free to use explecetives.

It amazes me everyday how this country continues to teach it's youth the right and wrong way to do your job, only all I see now a days is that no matter what you do wrong, you will not only keep your job, but be rewarded for not doing it well.   Sports is a big part in a lot of people's lives, that's why I don't understand why it continues to set such horrible examples for are youth.  They hero worship and pay millions to guilty ex-cons, they draft and give millions to the ignorant and corrupt, they hire and promote the under qualified, and they fire people who do their jobs better than others have at their same position.   It's no surprise that this pussified country is no longer respected around the world and why I fear for the future of my neice and nephews.

When we were growing up these things rarely happened and if they did they were rarely seen or heard, but now beacause the media is everywhere, are youth sees scum like Michael Vick running around playing football and making millions, when he should be locked up in jail making license plates for the hard working people paying their hard earned money for the cars those plates should go on.   How can our youth learn if there are no consequences for their wrong actions or praise for their right actions?

get your old coach in as a manager tom florhese, its needed he knows how to pick players and coachs that will win for you he was a fundmentials teacher . and could see what other people passed up look at jim plunket.so on. front office goes soft winning goes , like the steeler of the 80s and the 90s threw 00 raiders it has to stop there has to be a stabble coaching change , if you fire to many there s to much changes just hire and fire cordenators and asstants, get a solid coach first and sort out players that want to win and give there all all of the time!
